This pendant and necklace started with a brass piece and how I saw a beautiful piece of jewelry just waiting to be created. Many times my jewelry pieces start with one item and everything else just seems to fall into place. I was given a small piece of red velvet, too small for much of anything, but perfect for a backing for the brass piece. Eventually from those two items this wearable art was created. Materials used are miyuki seed beads, Czechoslovakian machine cut bicones, glass pearls, fire polished beads, glass beads, Ethiopian amber chips, plastic letter beads, and leather backing. This piece took over 7 days of daily consistent beading, gluing, stringing, and wire wrapping.
